Mill City Public House: A Culinary Gem in Appleton

The ambiance was warm and inviting with low lights. The signature drinks were delicious and unique. The appetizers were delicious and so was the food. Our waitress was also excellent!

I’ve been here many times when it first opened up and I loved their mussels with tots so much. Few month back I noticed they removed it from the menu and was very sad about it. Last night we decided to go there again and were pleased with the food and service as usual. Our waiter recommended the special, seafood risotto after my little complaint about the mussels and it was so delicious! I also had expresso martini and they sure know how to make good drinks. The appetizers Brussels sprouts and spinach artichoke dip were to die for. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone. We had such great time there!

I took my fiance here for his birthday. He had never been and trusted my recommendation. When we walked up and smelled the smoker, we knew it would be tasty and unique. He had the bacon jam burger and I had the fish fry. The truffle tots were stupendous.

Very nice meal. Started with cheese curds and a burbon barrel stout. The fish and chips and the brisket french dip were tasty. A little loud, but very nice place.

First time visit and had a great lunch. Service was excellent. Staff was friendly and food was delicious. Had the OK Burger which was awesome. Thank you.

Best burger I have ever had! I ordered the Black and Blue smash burger, the flavor was incredible. Two patties done perfectly, a bit crisp on the edges, as they should be, but not dry. Peppered bacon and house made blue cheese sauce topped off the burger plus a garlic aioli. I added an Arugula side salad, instead of tots or fries (3 up charge), that too was very tasty. 1/2 rack ribs were also very good. Did I mention the staff? From the moment we walked in the door the staff was exceptional. The hostess was very pleasant, we walked by another staff member on the way to our table and she said "hi". Then we were greeted by our server Alex. He was fantastic, one of the best waiters I have ever encountered. Because it was our first time at Mill City, Alex explained the menu and described some of the entrees to us, not just saying two patties with sauce..... He also checked on us during the meal making sure that we weren't in need of anything, Only issue I can foresee is that when we go back I won't know what to order because there are so many great choices on their menu.

Nice date night or a drop in for a delicious bite to eat. Check out the appetizers. Lightly breaded, with a perfect crisp, the cheese curds are smooth and creamy, perfect morsels of perfection.

What a great place...the minute I walked up to the door I smelled smoke, and by smoke I mean delicious smoked meat smoke. Host was great, lead us to the bar for a drink as we waited to be seated. We were sat far before our estimated wait was up. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich and side salad (I don’t order salads ever) and my wife opted for the brisket French dip with side salad. The salad was ridiculously good, YES...the.salad. The pulled pork was absolutely delicious, moist and smoked to perfection. My wife was quite literally moaning over her brisket sandwich. Atmosphere matched the food. All around 5 stars from me!
